Formation Sweater Chunky Knitting Pattern (English)

Formation Sweater Chunky is a model with a wide fit, long sleeves and wide ribbed edges. The pattern is formed using the mock honeycomb stitch, as described below.

The sweater is worked from the top down. First the neckline is shaped by working back and forth while increasing the number of stitches, both around the shoulder stitch and with increases towards the neck. Then work in the round until all shoulder increases have been worked. Now divide the work into front and back pieces so that armholes can be made on each side. After the armholes, join the work again, knit in the round and finish with a ribbed edge. The sleeves are also worked from the top down. Pick up stitches along the armhole edge and work the sleeve in the round with decreases on the underside. Finish again with a ribbed edge. The rib at the neck edge is either worked as a folded edge or as a turtleneck.

Choice of size

The sweater has a positive ease of 15-20 cm. This means that you should choose the size measuring 15-20 cm more than your chest circumference. If your chest measures 96 cm, you should choose a size M (113 cm circumference).
